About Me

I'm Chris Hall — a professional guitarist, songwriter, and tutor based in Raskelf, North Yorkshire. I studied at BIMM (Brighton Institute of Modern Music) in partnership with the University of Sussex, and have spent over 25 years immersed in guitar playing.

As the former touring and recording guitarist with Fickle Friends, I contributed to a UK Top 10 album and performed on stages across the UK, Europe, and the United States — including Reading and Leeds Festival and South by Southwest (SXSW). I've supported major artists on tour, including The Kooks, and recorded at world-class facilities including Abbey Road Studios and NRG Recording Studios in Los Angeles.

Now I channel that experience into teaching. I believe great guitar tuition should be inspiring, practical, and built around you as an individual. Whatever your level or musical ambition, I'm here to help you get there.

My Teaching Approach

Every student is different, and so is every lesson. I tailor my teaching to your goals, your pace, and the music you love. Whether you want to learn your favourite songs, understand music theory, develop your technique, or prepare for performance — we'll build a plan that works for you.
